Fresh Podcasts > Setup for Recording Podcasts”¦
[Sebs Random Thoughts] I bought a Behringer UB1002FX mixer as it is very popular to podcaster, Dave has one, and it’s very easy to setup and its got cool slidy things. The coolest thing about the mixer besides that fact that it actually does everything to make recordings from the mic, is that little suffix on the model name FX.

Sebs Random Thoughts: I was listening to TWIT as I just said, and I was most interested when they started to talk about the bloggers who were writers turning to the video medium to get their stuff more noticed in the blogosphere.I recently have a really interesting conversation with Dave Gray, my co-host on the Global Geek Podcast, and he told me he is not interested in promoting his blog, and getting it "noticed" The only reason for this is he is a little bit older than me, 14 years, and he has a career that he is happy with and is happy to stay doing. Roosters Rail: I have used FeedDemon for some time now, one of the main reasons that I switched to FeedDemon was the fact that it is an all-in-one solution. It supports both feeds and lots of different types of enclosures including podcasts and I liked the idea of having it all in the one place. (via Cosmos)

You can click on the sketch at left to see it. The way I record Skype calls and get around the echo problem is to set Skype to send audio to my Powerbook system instead of the USB headphone.

By grabbing audio from a Skype conversation (we'll use Skype for our example, but this all applies to iChat as well) as well as your own mic, Audio Hijack Pro enables you to record live interviews or conversations with remote users right into your podcast.
[Danklass.com] DanKlass.com: Yes, I’m finally getting a blog together for DanKlass.com…a place for info not related to the podcasts specifically. Some personal stuff, information about Podcast Solutions, the equipment I use, how to record Skype easily on a Mac, etc.
[Blog.case.edu] Aaron thinks here.: A Review of Seven Microphones: The Heart of ...: I have received a lot of questions about which voice recorder to purchase, which microphone works best for lectures and what equipment is needed to podcast. Working in a multimedia center has its advantages, one of them being I have access to more equipment than the average guy on campus, so I decided to do a review of every microphone I could get my hands on.
[Quicksurf.com] Digital A » Blog Archive » My Podcasting Setup: I didn’t generally do much recording of myself, even though I did used to play several instruments, but I did spend quite a bit of time behind the mixer console and computer screen helping local guys record and master their songs, so I pretty much stick with my tried and true software packages that I’ve used a lot in the past. I also have a huge library of samples for ACID, and I also make my own custom samples and jingles out of everyday sounds and stuff as well as manufacturer sounds and samples from scratch as needed.
