[a minor technicality] Not really much more I can say about what’s ahead - because right now I don’t know a great deal - but I am in the very advantageous position of being able to phase out a number of currently running projects before things take over completely. They get timestamping right - the clusters of articles all being published at once is more to do with their editorial time-table than bugs in their RSS feed.

[Thefutureofwork.net] The Future of Work Weblog: As we (the two of us) commented in our December Future of Work Agenda newsletter, we (all of us, collectively) are "waiting for the ice to crack" (see "In Our Humble Opinion: Did You Hear the Ice Crack?" in the newsletter and separately right here on the blog last week; and also Jim's "Notes from the Field: Something's Happening Here") By that we mean that most us are "on edge," knowing intuitively we're facing a future that feels more uncertain than anything we've ever experienced before.

http://www.evolvingexcellence.com [Evolvingexcellence.com] Evolving Excellence: May 2006: A few days ago Kevin wrote a piece about competition, making the point that any company that thinks it can follow the same old manufacturing practices, just keeping its nose ahead of the guy down the street who is also following those worn out practices, is likely to get blown out of the water by some competitor it didn't even know it had from some place on the globe it didn't even know existed. The successful manufacturer must be ready and able to take on all comers, and those comers will be coming from all directions.
