Evan Williams, Biz Stone Launch Obvious Corp
![]()
[Bloggers Blog -- Blogging the Blogosphere] Odeo, a podcasting site started by Evan Williams, who already made a tidy little fortune selling Blogger to Google, is buying back the share owned by investment firm Charles River Ventures. A source told Valleywag, Evan made the decision to dump investors (the venture capitalist aren't happy), which leads us to believe Williams still greatly cares about the company and has plans for Odeo's future.

[Techcrunch] Frank says that Baron’s numbers are inflated and make it difficult for he and other video bloggers to sell advertisements with much lower numbers to offer. I spoke with both of them on the phone, looked at Rocketboom’s traffic logs and ran my understanding of what I saw past several podcasting industry experts who confirmed my analysis.

Do a little pay for placement for your top 100 recommended Podcasts (you’re already making a bundle on your Adsense take). Use that $$ to do some pay for placement of your own - i.e., FF 2.1 on Dells, eMachines, etc. Keep paying your bounty for installs too!

Pajamas Media's Politics Central podcast with author Po Bronson
[Marathon Pundit] The first case involves Thomas Klocek, who for 14 years was a DePaul "adjunct instructor" at the School for New Learning (as opposed, I gather, from the "old learning"), one of those academic indentured servants who now make up perhaps 50 percent of faculty in higher education, people usually without offices, benefits, job safety, and status. He was suspended from his job and then dismissed without so much as a hearing for hurting the feelings of some Palestinian students, not his students and not in his class but at a campus cafeteria where members of Students for Justice in Palestine and United Muslims Moving Ahead had set up two tables with leaflets.
