A hotel chain is launching its podcast...

[Hotel Blogs by Guillaume Thevenot] 4 episodes are currently available and show videos about the brand, the hotels...It's a good start for a hotel chain willing to adopt Web 2.0 technology but there are in my opinion some mistakes: - the video is really slow to load - it's open up another window in your browser - the video is small (you can't read the text) - it only works with Quicktime - you can't leave any comments - you can't download the video unless you have iTunes - there is no publishing date My advice would be to leave your customer read the video in the same window and use videos sharing platform like YouTube in order to get more traffic and also get different screen formats. Brand storytellers unite at the Corporate Podcasting Summit

[Brand Dialogue - a dialogue on marketing 2.0] She sold it as a way to speak to consumers more relevantly, to try podcasting out as a word-of-mouth case study, and to reinforce the brand’s position…all pretty sketchy reasons in the minds of your typical C-level team. Also, since there are no metric standards for podcast listenership, and no way to determine if someone completed the full download or listened to the entire show, doing a podcast couldn’t be bound to traditional business metrics.
